Winter in March made for tough fishing in key west.
Report Date: March 27, 2013
Late winter cold fronts charged across the United States , slicing winter into the warm tropical flats in key west.
What should of been a great time for permit fishing, was traded up for epic barracuda fishing. " when in Rome".
Trust me if you have ever fly fished for cudas you can agree, this is not an easy task. Especially in the wind.
If you are throwing artificial tube lures, then you might have one of the most action packed days of fishing ever.
Either way, you can be assured lots of laughs as you watch a hooked barracuda race across the flats with lightning speed and often giving up some great acrobatics.
If you have not fished Barracuda on the flats in key west you are missing out.
